You are the model
To be able to design the saddle flap individually for each rider
a pattern is drawn, on horseback, of the leg position, angle,
and length of the rider.
The measurement of the horse determines the form of the saddle tree and the placement of the straps for the girth so that the saddle will fit the horse properly.
Basically all our saddles have a cutback gullet with a wide channel to make sure that the withers and spine have full freedom for movement. The saddle trees are cast in our own workshop. This high quality polymer fiber tree is made to withstand extreme temperature changes, and allows for future adjustments.
Light or heavy?
Already during the cooling we bend and lace the saddle tree to exactly fit your horse. When the polymer tree is set, the gullet steel and the springs are put in place. Both steel and springs are made especially for your tree.
The gullet steel is forged and not punched or casted. The springs are adjusted to fit your weight and to give the horse the right contact.
Due to the quality of our gullet steel, the saddle tree can be resized at any time. This is a big advantage when the horses muscles change because of advanced training and increasing age.
Therefore a saddle built for a young horse can be changed later in the gullet, and can be constantly refitted.
And of course, the measurement for the gullet steel and the polymer tree is taken directly on your horse.
Measurement
on your Horse
After having seized the confirmation of your horse, we cast the withers of your horse with the help of a flexible template.
After that the gullet steel will be forged individually and -
according to the height and shape of the withers - manufactured in four different lengths. The more marked the withers of your horse is, the longer we forge the gullet steel.
